KEYNOTES
Imran Ahmed is the founding CEO of the Center for Countering Digital Hate. He is a recognized authority on the social and psychological dynamics of social media, as well as what goes wrong in those spaces, such as trolling, identity-based hate, misinformation, conspiracy theories, modern extremism, and fake news. He regularly features in the media as an expert in online malignant behavior and how bad actors use digital spaces to harm others and benefit themselves.

Sheril Kirshenbaum is a scientist and author working to enhance public understanding of science and improve communication between scientists, policymakers, and the public. She hosts Serving Up Science at PBS Digital Studios and the discussion series "Our Table" at Michigan State University. Her books include Unscientific America: How Scientific Illiteracy Threatens Our Future with Chris Mooney and The Science of Kissing.
